Teenagers Are Not Escapists,Not Even Irresponsible

Tagore said "ওরা অকারণে চঞ্চল"(Restless are they for  no reason  )

This  line  vividly describes teenagers .They often  do  things  that seem irresponsible  to  their  parents  or guardians.PEARL S. BUCK said — 'The young do not know enough to be prudent, and therefore they attempt the impossible -- and achieve it, generation after generation.' Between being kids and adults, the teenage mind can be a maze of intense emotions. Parents seldom understand the dilemmas, adventures, fears and angst that go with this phase of life, although they too were teenagers not long ago. Infact  they have much to share,much  to be explained and  much  to be consoled.As i sat down  to write about them,i realised i actually  have no clue what  to share.I remember when  i entered high school  the biggest question mark  that  all time trouble me always ended with a simple question," does adults  find it difficult too?"

I must say a teenager's life  is more difficult.They kind of remember the  number of  all  those friends  whose names  are unacceptable to their parents.The boy who is dealing with derivations problems and binary derivatives is more interested about  the girl who sits next to his friend in  the tution class.The girl who is depressed due to some hormonal skin problem  is left with no  other option  other  than  accepting it.

Most of the time, parents don't give them the chance to explain why they do what they do and they don't listen,

 which causes a whole lot of misunderstanding. Also, these misunderstandings clouds society's judgment on 

our 

their academic

 as well. If someone sees a teen in gang attire, we automatically assume that they don't give a

 damn about school when the kid could be an honor roll student on his way to some league of brilliance .

Teenage is an age where one gets

 confused about the simplest decisions.Even when not willing to do anything 

wrong many a times teenagers do it UNKNOWINGLY.At such times others need to understand them instead of 

rewarding them with the word ' IRRESPONSIBLE '! This is the stage where one needs real support mostly from 

their parents,friends become a very imp part of their life...And one becomes really crazy even about  small things.

They  are not perfect but they  do need our support to achieve perfection.Nobody is born perfect even  our 

parents were not .We are adults we  can  controll our emotions  we can  understand  how much  we  need  to 

convey ,with age  we  learn  to choose  the person  we  convey our  problems.We often  fail to understand 

when  the  person we still categorise as a kid  has attained the agey when  they are no longer kids not even 

adults. They are  restless  for no  reason ,confused about simple things and crazy about things that hardly 

matters.

They  are neither  irresponsible nor escapist .
